View snapshot source volumes

TimeFinder SnapVX is a local replication solution that is designed to non-disruptively create point-in-time copies (snapshots) of critical data.

Prerequisites

This view displays SnapVX ICDP snapshots that are created from the mainframe product. Management of these snapshots is not supported.

Steps

  1. Select the storage system.
  2. Click Protection and select Manual SnapVX from the Protected Storage Groups section of the summary panel.
  3. Select a storage group, click An icon showing the letter i, and click the number next to Number of Snapshots.
  4. Select a snapshot and select An icon showing the letter i to open the snapshot Details view.
  5. Click the number next to Volumes to open the snapshot Source Volumes list view.

    The following properties are displayed:

    • Name—Name of volume
    • State—Snapshot state
    • Creation Date—Date and time the snapshot was created.
    • Failed—Indication of failure
    • Secured—Indication of security status
    • Linked—Indication of link status
    • Restored—Indication of restoration status
    • Expanded—Indication of expansion status
    • Background—Background
    • GCM—GCM
    • Expiry Date—Expiry date
    • Capacity (GB)—Capacity of the volume
    • Percent Copied—Percent of the total volume size that the host has overwritten.
